Ok I am bored I am on the mend physically and have realised I am bored and need something more entertaining in my life right now. So I have had an idea of starting a new youtube channel demonstrating fast paced videos of various things from photoshop being the main subject but will also cover other adobe products and other 3d software etc. Not really meant as a tutorial but maybe more get to see my typical work flow. The typical type of video would be what would normally take over an hour to do normally made into a 10 min video.
here is an example all though the work will be better if I go ahead with the channel but this is something I just rustled up as an idea and preview. So yes before we all start complaining about the project it is clearly a demo version. Let me know what you think of the idea in general and do not base it on this video as such.

OK, I think the obvious extension of this is that you will be asked to do an actual tutorial of one of the techniques, or more. It was impressive to watch you work, see the layers mount up and the changes occur. I could see what you were doing about 40% of the time, maybe. I don't know if I just enjoyed it or became frustrated that I couldn't follow it as far as knowing what you were doing! Loved the music :D. I did, but I also enjoyed the video. Just not sure how it would go over.

Hello Hoogle, Nice video, I could follow all without any worries but the thing is I realise we definitively have different techniques ;-) I use mask and I feather them mainly to look more natural ;-) I retouch skin also with a patch like you but I softly blur it too to add on it. I think the video is very nicely made, but I am not sure it will be a tutorial, as for ppl that are beginning or even good in photoshop but have no idea about retouching skin, they could be lost cause it goes fast ;-) Now I enjoyed the music too ;-)

You have to know what is your goal, if it just showing how you work or teaching something? I do believe teaching would need to be more slowly, not necessarily with explanations, but that ppl have the time to see what you are actually doing step by step ;-)

Gosh how can you be bored btw ???? I wish I had more time lately to take my photoshop and work, but without one hour full in front of me I don't bother hahahah :p

Have a nice day !

I really enjoyed this! Even though it was impossible to follow, it was just plain entertaining. Your choice of the fast paced music, and the way you kind of "retouched to the beat" also probably made it fun for people who don´t even use Photoshop yet. I would suppose someone with no prior experience of it would think "Wow! That´s cool! I want to learn how to do that too!" :)

What I think you could do with it, is to make a tutorial version along side it, so that when someone watches through it, and want´s to know how it is done, they can go to that as well. I think it´s a cool idea! :)

If your going to do informational typed tuts then you need to do the voice over, music is all well and good, but i feel it only works with speed painting videos. Yours is a mixture of speed makeover and how to, if you can keep pausing it to see whats what that is.

See this is my problem on youtube you are limited to 15 min long videos where as if you were to do a project like this properly you are looking at 30 mins to an hour and on top of it if you do a tutorial on top of it then it slows your work flow down even more. So Basically I could split it into 2 make a speed version for the people that understand the basics and just want to see what is done. and the other version could be a work along set of videos that could possibly be 2 or 3 videos but with a step by step guide. Thanks for the input I will start working on it soon.
