I need some help...error message

i'm not sure what is going on but whenever i try to open a saved file in photoshop i get an error message saying "Write to registry failed Options not saved."

it shuts down whenever i hit the OK button. has anyone seen this before?

Nope, never seen THAT message before.

I suggest you try deleting your PS Prefs file and letting PS rewrite it.

Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift when you click the program icon to start it up. PS will ask you whether you want to delete and rewrite your Prefs file. Say YES.

If that doesn't work, a re-install is i order.
