Looks nice ! thanx! The only part that doesn't really fit in is the fire truck.
You can't see it on this picture, but it is impossible for a fire truck to stand there:P
That makes it less realistic.

Oh lol just tried it as a little touch, but no problem, here the exact one without the firetruck

Thx clare. I havent been working to long with flames yet, so its not to realistic, but for a visualisation it should work

Needs more black smoke, he said....I can use those "SMOKE" brushes...for smoke !!!

Who said that? And what smoke brushes are you talking about?

The GOOD ones ...dude [innocent]

I picked up a couple of sets... 9 fire by "Resource42" and 21 "Smoke" unknown I have the zip files and don't know how to post a link or file here...or I would share heres a quick shot of a few

I think it's quite well done. A little more blackening around more of the windows would help and some broken out glass too. Not that I want to take on the project of exploding glass. But in case, you're interested, I've seen tuts for that. I think if you google explosion tutorials you'll find one or more. Or you could narrow it to glass exploding. Well, just in case you need the practice!

Oh i see now. You just had to confuse me first. They look nice, even know im not sure if they'd look good on lardes smoke areas, like where you supposed to simulate dozens of cubic feet. But thx for sharing them

I actually thought about the broken glass when i started working ont he project, but i gave it up cosidering i fail at effects like that badely. I once tried to create a hole in a building, but it just looked like a round black graffiti. But maybe a few tutorials will help, thx for the idea. I (and im sure pretty much everyone else) can always use practise, concidering you can always do better

Also, i went back and worked on the image a little bit mre, and added a new Version with alot mmore black in it, especially in the smoke. In my opinon that makes the fire look alot worse

That is because I cut them down 1500 pxls or each one would cover an 8x10. Most that I have are HUGE I found them on Deviant art for free...That was just a few of each.

The black does look good...try the windows....I know I am gonna play this weekend if time permite.

Im wondering, which windows do you mean exactly? Because the ones where fire is coming out of, they are already very dark, more black would lose to much detail

Right. I mean outside the window itself where the flames and smoke would blacken the outside. Smoke is tarry with all the nasty chemicals that result from burning various materials. So it leaves an immediate mark on the building.

PS: I just saw your second rendition. No worries about blackening now, lol!
