My new computer arrived (unexpectedly!) this morning, and now I pretty much TOTALLY RULE!!! Only right that I let you know that, seeing as how I rule and all. RULE! Did I mention that?

Of course, I don't have any version of Photoshop on it yet. I'm trying to talk myself into downloading the CS5 demo and starting the clock ticking.

I'm so far behind the times, I had no idea what to do. So I went to a local place that builds computers, got on their forum (I'm a big believer in forums. Heh) and told the nice geeks, "spec me a dedicated Photoshop machine." So it's the AMD six core with 8 gigs of RAM and a nice nVidia card.

Of course, now I've blown my tech budget for 2011. How I'll manage to pony up for Photoshop, I do not know.
 
So is that a PC or a MAC? sorry I don't know about this things, I just have my friends recommend to me what they would get and then buy accordingly. I have recently gone to MAC and I'm loving it. BTW, congrats on your new puter. I hope this doesn't mean you'll be leaving us.

We try to answer questions and have a bunch of tutorials but you can get a free 7 day trial subscription at Lynda.com.

They have a whole section specifically about CS5 which you should find really helpful.
No credit card information is required and no rollover to a paid subscription, just an email asking if you want to join.

Congratulation so what are the specs of your new PC then?

Steve can you download the videos for later use as I would like to look at this option for CS5
