I have a drawing, and I need to know what the best method is for enlarging it?

Hey everyone, I have this image which I drew with a black ink pen. It's about 5cm high, and the same wide. Since I'm a noob on here I can't post links, but message me and I'll be glad to provide a imageshack link. It might help to actually see the drawing, it's kinda unusual. I have a few of these in this style, and I wanted to make them bigger, maybe 60cm x 60cm. I've scanned it into my computer and via photoshop I can remove the colour imperfections I.E. make it 100% black, but the edges aren't smooth, and it looks REALLY terrible when I blow it up to 60cm. I was thinking about trying to sell a few of them, but it'll never happen if they just look blurry like it does at the moment.

I've tried using a projector and re-drawing it out but it doesn't work well. I'm not too familiar with Photoshop, and was wondering if anyone else would be able to help out. Or if there is any other way to do it I would HUGELY appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thanks everyone who contributes in some way, I will send you a FREE full size version of any of my drawings! =D

You can't post links but you can post the image here.
Use the insert image button.

I would recommend using the Pen Tool. Draw with it in a layer and then define it as a Custom Shape. In this way you will be able to enlarge the drawing.

Sorry, what do you mean by "draw it in a layer"? I'm annoyingly new to photoshop. And MANY people have said to use the pen tool, would you mind elaborating on that? Thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it so far!!

For what you need to do, Illustrator is better, but because here is a Photoshop forum I'll try to explain it.
First you must select a thin brush with 100% hardness. Something like 4-6 px. The point is to achieve a pencil like brush.
Put your drawing in Photoshop. Create a New Layer above it.
Select the Pen Tool and start drawing a path. Just a simple curve, or straight line. Right click on the path and select Stroke Path. Choose brush. It is up to you if you want to simulate pressure.

After you finished doing this for the entire drawing press CTRL+click on the layer's thumbnail. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and right click on the selection. Choose "Make Work Path". Now select the Pen Tool, right click on the path and select "Define Custom Shape". After this you go to Custom Shape Tool and your drawing appears there. You can enlarge it as big as you want because it is vector.

Forgot to say: When you are stroking a path make you sure you are doing it with the same layer selected. This is what I meant with "draw it in a layer".
