We are supposed to get some snow tonight, so I just checked the weather on www.weather.com and was utterly astonished to learn that our snow is coming from Saturn.

Post your fun boo-boos in this thread.

Bonkers it certainly is, but I can't tell if you are doing Yoda-speak or old-salt-speak. ;-)

Humor is definitely good for the soul.

If it's Paul, it's Yoda-speak. If it's iDad it's old-salt-speak. Got that straight now, lol?

Well, with a slight twist. Did you know that Saturn has wings? Neither did I, but this astronomy book for kids that I gave a friend says so. She brought it to my attention a few months ago. And Art Linkletter said that kids say the darndest things.

Sheesh, that's old news. I usually see at least one or two Saturns with wings every day. ;-)

I also heard that Saturn has a thing and maybe a ling, but these are unconfirmed reports.

Ah, so that's where it came from. His editors got a little confused since they were working on a manual for the Saturn. Guess the publishers weren't real thorough. BTW, I made the teacher and children's book up. It's a bald faced lie. What else is new for our Aunty Devious Devilry Do?

What is a "ling?" You know Tom, I don't wish to be disappointed in your information. You always keep us up to date on the latest intrepidly, intellectual, mathematical, scientific data. So please enlighten us with you correct research into this very strange phenomenon. Please. As you are well aware, expiring minds (such as Aunty's) want to know.

"Lings" occasionally garner public interest after certain reporters on the English service of China News TV do a story on Saturn's rings.

(OK, I know that wasn't politically correct, but I couldn't think up anything else, so shoot me ;-) )

Z: "it's the name of the storm ;) "Winter Storm Saturn" they are calling it...."

Mein Gott! I just realized that you weren't making that up. That really WAS the name of the storm. OTOH, you would have thought that weather.com might have introduced the name earlier in the article / web page.
