Hello,

I have this cross and I want to extract the texture then insert it on a text / layer.

How can I do? I use Photoshop 2021.

Thank you.

Hi @God999

the image your provided has a quite different gradients to simulate metallic reflection. The colors are a range of Hues and Saturations as well. Per se there is no localized texture so I suspect we are just not on the same page on terms to understand what you need extracted.

If there is a specific gradient on the cross you would like extracted and stretched across a Layer you would need to pick which gradient in the image you want to use.
Maybe its me yet I do not quite understand specifically the desired result that you seek.
Any clarity you can provide would help forum members give their best recommendations

Hi, if I understand correctly you are looking to create the same "Gold effect"? I assume that is the "texture" you need?
If so, there are many ways of doing it. But the image you have attached was done in some vector application like Illustrator. Not Photoshop! (based on the clear and clean cuts & colors)

The same effect can also be done in Photoshop.
Here are some of the ways you can try and follow to get the gold effect-

If you want to achieve the same effect & colors just pick the same colors using "eyedropper tool" from the cross image and add it to the gradient.
Also, if this is not you what you are looking as @thebestcpu said more information would be good.
