I need to figure out how to rezice a picture to exactly the size that I want. Say my picture is 1927394 bytes, and I need the picture to be 1729384 bytes (Or opposite).

The reason why I need this feature is quite complicated, but a answer to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello!
Photoshop used to give an approximate size, but it was an estimate.
I think that some third-party softs, like graphic converter on mac might have that fonction, it is a path to investigate.
Do take a look in save for web and devices, though.

Go to Save for web and Devices, then click on the fly out menu and choose Optimize to File Size. That will give you some options but I don't know how exact they are.

Yes, G-man, That's what I meant, but I did not have Photoshop on my GF's iPhone ;) when I posted...

Pure, are you on a PC or a Mac? for the list of shareware that might save to an exact size...
BTW, you are a Video editor, what soft are you using? After Effects, Avid?
