how to remove camouflage from a texture?

can somebody show me how to remove camouflage from a texture in Photoshop?
here's an example:


is it possible to remove just the camo texture but leave the detail?

so you want to reskin a game character in Photoshop, I've done it once or twice for GTA 3 I remember

it's very hard to work with such small images and removing such small detail , it will indeed affect the original pixels and it will indeed ruin the detail so I would recommend a total repaint with highlights and shadows.

I'm trying to grasp what you mean by removing the camo texture but keeping the detail. When you say detail, are you referring to the shadows on the shirt or what? Try to be as specific as you can and your chances for an appropriate answer increase ten-fold. do you want the camo shirt to be a different color, or maybe apply a different pattern to it?
