How to recover a photoshop file?

How to recover a photoshop file? messed up with the layers and saved in an incomprehensible format .when you reopen the program does not see it.
 
Go to File>Open Recent. You wiil see a list of files you recently opened/saved.
1) See if you can open it.
2) if not, let us know what format did you save it as?
