How to photoshop jewellery onto a person realistically?

I am wondering whether anybody would have any steps how to photoshop jewellery (necklaces, bracelets) onto people and for it to look very realistic?
There are only half a dozen tutorials about this that I could find online and they all look unrealistic/obviously photoshopped.

This depends on the person, the jewelry, the perspective of both, the lighting, the selection, matching colors, and the shading/shadowing. You really need to be more specific with your questions. Show us some examples. Show us some of your attempts.

Perspective: For example, this necklace would not go with this pose.




This pose would be better suited with this type of necklace photo.
