I am thinking of creating a header image for my blog; for I need to mix two images (an image+the background color)
Please visit the following website's image slider to get the exact idea what I'm looking for: webimax dot com (I beg your pardon if I've violated the rules)
I want to do something like this using Adobe Photoshop.

Can you help me how to do it? I'm not an expert Photoshop professional

For starters it may not even be 2 pictures but just one..... isolating the man and coverting the rest into b&w + blurring.

But mixing two images can be done in PS. You need to select your pictures.

Let me explain what exactly I'm looking for:
I want to create a header. Half part of the header will occupy the image and the rest will be the texts. When I'm combining the two images, the boarder/line between the two images is making them look ugly. I just wanted to know how to blend or mix them so that it looks one image and not two different images.

I can't picture what you mean by borderline. Is it like the seams of the two images or an outline around an image? If you can upload your image, it will give us a better understanding of your problem.

Here is the image. You can see a visible line that makes it look two different images. I want the line part blended in a way it looks nice.

Thank you so very much! I'm so grateful to you for your help.
By the way, what this process is called; image blending or something?
