How to make my face look drawn...?

Hello,

I would like to take a photo of my face and make it appear in the same way as on the picture below, but I don't know Photoshop well enough to even know where to start. (None of the filters get close to what I want to achieve). Can I do this in PS?

Or do I need a plugin for it?

If you're trying to get an effect that will look like the picture you put up, i'd use this:

go Image/Mode/Indexed Colors...

Pallete: Local (adaptive)
Colors: pick a number, I'd use 4
Forced: i'd pick "None", but you could experiment with Custom...
Dither: None

[the other options should be disabled]

Now just change it back to RGB or CYMK or Lab color and pick some colors =]

(I thought I needed some technique that simulated pencil and ink rather than just limiting the number of colours... just goes to show how little I know...)

the instructions i gave you can be used to achieve results similar to the picture youve posted
