How to make dividers like this ? Any help will be highly appreciated. I have attached some example and i also added the flattened transparent one of it an i would like to know how to make similar effect.Its useful effect to learn i think . Am eagerly awaiting for the experts to teach us this effect.

The simplest way to recreate that effect is probably the rectangular selection tool, and some clever gradients.

To get a definitive line between the two shades of color, you can draw a straight line with your pen tool, set your brush settings to about 50% hardness, desired color, and select pen pressure, then go back to the pen tool and stroke it.

You can always mess with your brush settings to get the right look.

For a similar effect you can also use the CSS3 box-shadow property. Maybe also have a look in CSS3 gradients - I am sure it is possible only with CSS. Google for "colorzilla" and you will find a great gradient generator.
