How to make clear edges beetwen two areas with different colors?

I would like to know is there any way to make clear lines between two areas of different colors? I would like to make edge in the first picture look sharp like edge in second picture.

If they are on separate layers I would just add a stroke to the layer that's on top.

Errm if you are able to and can use your pen tool I would add a stroke with that. Failing that use the quick selection tool, copy whatever it is you want and then paste it onto a new layer then stroke the layers.

Ok, I must be getting old or somethings wrong with my monitor..........when I click on the the thumbnail, all I get is a tiny png that's so small, I can't tell what's going on!

Is there a setting that I'm missing?
