How to Make a Cartoon Effect in Photoshop

Good day gurus, i would like to ask if anyone here can give tutorial in making a cartoon effect like this..

Some things you can play with are:

Filter --> Artistic --> Poster Edges
and then
Filter --> Artistic --> Cut Out

Been playing around with the filters from the previous post. They do work very well and I do get some nice results but nothing as dynamic as the sample. Would love to know how it was done.

seeing the original would help dissect it I see so many filters at play in that image.

Try playing with Brightness/Contrast and also Hue/Saturation and Curves adjustment layers to fine tune the effect.

You can also add a 50% gray layer on top of the image and set the blend mode to soft light, then use the Dodge/Burn tools on the gray layer for highlights and shadows.

I agree, you also may want to play with the shadow highlights...
