How to go about redrawing this texture?

I have a texture I'm trying to redraw in higher resolution. It looks like this:

I am completely new to Photoshop, and I don't have much time to work with, so what are the brushes or other tools I should use, and what is the procedure I should follow to finish with something at least close to this, only in a higher resolution, in as little time as possible? Thanks.

Go to http://qbrushes.net/ and search for fur textures. There are a number on there that should work. Just download the texture, unzip, and install within Photoshop's Brush palette.

Then, just choose one of the fur texture brush, size, and start painting. You can choose different colors and layer different ones to get different effects.
