Hey guys Good Day. I have very high resolution pictures on Photoshop. How can I save the picture for a good resolution (not stretchy) for my website, good quality too. and have it weight like 100KB

Hi Rachel / John -

At least the 1st page of your website looks great! Wonderful photography! I'm not big fan of the selective desaturation / splashes of color look any more, but I know that the public still likes this look and it certainly sells.

However, I don't see the problem you are referring to. Perhaps there is a bit of a language problem. What exactly do you mean by "the picture comes out stretch"? Do you think it takes too long to load or is there some other problem?

Hi Rachel / John - Unfortunately, the screen shot you just posted does not tell me enough to help you. I need details (in written form) that exactly describe your problem, and tell me exactly what you are doing, or trying to do to the image when the problem arises.

For example, are you trying to change the aspect ratio of the image? Are you trying to change the number of pixels in each direction but keeping the ratio constant? What size image are you starting with? What size image are you trying to achieve? Are you first compositing several images, and then need to modify the result of that work? What tool(s) have you been trying to use when the problem occurs, e.g., "image size", "canvas size", crop tool, something else? As you can see, to diagnose a problem remotely, I need much more information than you have provided.

For example, the screen shot that you posted only tells me that on one specific system, at an unknown degree of magnification, one of your images seems to be larger than that particular screen. However, when I look the opening page of your website, I see no such problem on my computer - your images look very appropriate in size with no heads cut off or any other such problem. Because of this, I can't even tell if the problem you are having is a problem with the image itself, or a problem with the programming of your web page (eg, in automatically re-sizing images to fit the windows of different viewers).

Unfortunately, I apologize because I only speak English, so I have to ask you to have someone help you with your written English. It's difficult enough to try to diagnose a Photoshop or web problem remotely, even if the person does speak and write perfect English. However, when there are serious problems in basic communication, it becomes virtually impossible to give help. I have to guess at the true meaning of every word and statement, even more so when the person replies only in short phrases. It becomes a guessing game, and it just doesn't work.

If you can't find someone to help you compose your messages in English, perhaps someone else on this forum will see this thread and help out by translating - just ask.

Sincerely,

Tom M

Just guessing......

He/she wants high resolution in a 100kb file.
When he/she uploads a 1920 x 1080 photo to the site the head gets cut off.

Simple English, as you can see from the screen shot I took the image is stretch or too zoom. How should I save the picture on photoshop? What resolution

John / Rachel - Please read my last post carefully. I can't respond to your question for the reasons given in that post. It's not as simple as you seem to think. There are many possibilities of things that could have gone wrong, and you seem completely unaware of these. I just don't have time to play "20 questions" pulling the answers to my questions from you one at a time.

Perhaps someone else will be able to guess correctly and will be able to help you.

Btw since I'm new at photoshop I would really appreciate your opinion about the pictures quality like how's the skin tone?

What else can I do in photoshop to improve those images?

thank you guys for all your help

Hi. I am brand new here, but instead of looking at the images themselves as the direct culprits, I took a peek at your source code. The display is set to 300x150px. This is a 2:1 perspective, which will distort the view of any images that do not meet this perspective. You say your images are 1920x1080, which is a 16:9 ratio, slightly off from the 2:1 when you break it down to least common denominator. You have a couple of options. I am not familiar with Wordpress, so I cannot assist with your scripting. You can, however, change the display sizing to meet the 16:9 perspective, perhaps going with either the full 1920x1080 or going with a scaled down 1280x720 for the visitors who still use a lower desktop resolution that 1920x1080.
