How to get multiple documents all in the same view ?

I have probably worded the question wrong ... But I'm watching a tutorial and he has a blank canvas to the left and then 2 reference photos 2 the right . Which he can colour pick of off . The two reference photos have their photo headings at the top if that makes sense . Reminds me of having your workspace split like in 3d modelling software . How do you do this in photoshop cc?
 
Window/Arrange..you'll figure it out from there. (you have to have all the files open of course)
