How to edit this hair color difference?

My model had had no time to color her hair properly prior to arrived at the shoot :-(
"Sure you can easily do that in Photoshop later....:banghead:"

Well I am struggling to get it right.
Any suggestions are very much welcomed. In the end it should all be the redish color.

select it your favorite way
hit ctrl+j
hit ctrl+b
play with the sliders till you get the desired result
delete unwanted layer parts
ctrl+e enjoy

I think the simplest way is to use a color balance layer adjustment. Play with the different selections, midtones, highlights, shadows. And if you aren't sure what you're doing, just play with it. Then take the softest round brush and start with a low opacity (20-40%), make sure the layer adjustment mask is highlighted, and paint on the face in black to restore original color.

i have just took 1 min of my time to get it done and you already have it;-)
maybe i have pushed it red too far.

Thanks guys for helping me out.
Tried what you suggested and it worked. See the before and after image below.
I will probably play a little more with the different sliders but already a very good indication on where to look.

one of the adventages being model photographer;-)
not me, i just get to do architecture...
