I want to this.Can you teach me how to do this?What do you call this effect?And can we do this in PS? TIA

I'm not very good with PS, but I would guess that you would first convert your image to greyscale and then increase the contrast to 100%.

If you're talking about taking a photograph and making that effect with it, simply boosting the contrast won't do it. I'd say you would use the Cut Out filter on a desaturated image.

On a black and white high contrast original image a curves adjustment is all you need.



Otherwise you can try the Threshold filter and maybe a little blur.
