HOWS IT GOING EVERYONE? IM NEW TO THE FORUM AS WELL AS ILLUSTRATOR. I WAS TRYING TO CUT OUT CERTAIN PARTS OF A FONT IN ILLUSTRATOR USING THE PEN TOOL. IN OTHER WORDS I WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A TRANSPARENT LINES WITHIN THE FONT TO MAKE CRACKED OR RIPPED. IS THIS POSSIBLE?? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Welcome to PSG matey....

Easy on the caps there lol, looks like your shouting. I'm not to familiar with illustrator but I'm sure someone will be along who is shortly.

Welcome to the forum, eyeamthe1 .

I don't use Illustrator that often let alone do this in Illustrator. I'd use another vector aps.

But as a suggestion , rasterize your text (MENU>EFFECT>RASTERIZE) , and try any of the effect filters in the EFEECT GALLERY to suit your taste. (MENU>EFFECT)

Hope this helps out a bit.
