How to create a number with an image???

Hey people, new here! I am very curious as to how to create a number (using text) but with an image.

So basically taking a full image, and cropping it so it's just a number. I've search high and low for an example on google but have found nothing.

Do you mean something like this:

Maybe you want something like this?

Use a clipping layer.

Make your text, any color.

Add the image above. Alt/opt click your cursor on the line between these layers. Now you have clipped the area of the image which goes beyond the text and the text will be numbers or letters filled with the image.

You can also move the image layer around till you get the desired placement.
