How to create 3d text raised from base

I'm trying to create something similar to the logo at the following site: Gibboo - One stop organiser and marketing tool | Home

Is this a font or can this be done in photoshop? If so, what are the steps?

Once again. It could be done in Adobe Illustrator: Extrude & Bevel feature. Create different layers for each character, rotate, change perspective, bevel etc.
