Hi all,

I have a probably really simple question, I have created a simple 3D text the reason why I have done it was just to be able to transform the text a little 3D like.

Now I have the text basically ready and want to use it as template for other 3D text layers that look the same but with different text or letters.

My question is, how can I edit or change the text of such a 3D object and maybe also the text color. I am not able with the text tool to select this 3D text anymore.

I guess it is a simple trick I have not figured out yet.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Tom

Hm, I really thought this is probably something really simple but maybe not.

Could it really be so that you cannot edit a 3D text anymore once the a text is converted to 3D?

Would really appreciate any help or tips.

Thanks and Regards,
Tom

You no longer can edit text once rasterized or converted to an object. \

But you may be able to edit unconverted text made to look 3d-ish using layer effects . Tho it may depend on what effects were used.

No, I created real 3D text by creating a new 3D layer. However the text in not yet converted to a smart object and also not yet rendered or rasterized, therefore I thought it should be possible to edit the actual text?

Tom
