Hi guys. I'd like to thank you all for any assistance you can lend me with my current problem. As I've starting my own clothing line and plan on making my own designs I'll definitely active within the forums. Seems like a great community here.

As for my concern.

I have this image of smoke and an owl image.

I'm trying to blend the smoke with the owl so it blends really well, however I've been having some problems.

Here's what I have so far so you can get an idea of what I'm trying to achieve Screen Shot 2013-03-06 at 1.06.19 AM.png

I've been trying to blend the lines of the owl with the smoke by using a soft, low-opacity brush and the smudge tool as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions/tips on how to blend it better so it looks like the owl is a result of the smoke.

Thanks a lot guys!

taken another smoke brush, with a much smaller size, so it's about the same width as the owl's lines, then use that at the end of the lines, to disolve them into smoke

Just keep doing what you are doing you will get there in the end, patience is a virtue best served from a mouse or tablet:mrgreen:

your smoke must be much more thicker. it means multiple layered over and over. because smoke can be in any shape it means it's super flexible - use puppet warp to get harmony along your wanted lines.
P.s. Liquifi filter is very much smoke friendly as well :yummy:

heres my example

I afraid no smoke!

Thanks a lot for the advice

Nice image smoke, but it's a little too much smoke than I need for my image. Maybe I'll add a bit more so blending it will be a bit easier though!
