Hello,

I run a website where I cover auto racing events and take a lot of pictures. As part of my coverage I post these pictures.

I know how to create a web gallery on photoshop, that's all set. What I am looking to do is figure out how to automate the process of adding my site logo to the corner of all the pics.

An example is here:

http://stangcrazy.com/events/bg_2002/images/rs/DSC01015.jpg

I am going to be taking 500 or more pics at these races next season and it's very time consuming to add the logo(seen on bottom left in the above pic). Is there a way to automate this or batch process it? Basically designate a directory of pics to modify?

I've been having the hardest time trying to figure this out. Any help, hints, pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Frank

Hi frankjp302 and welcome to the board! :righton:

The only way that I can think of is to create an action that places the logo in the bottom left corner.
Then use this action in a batch to add it to a selection of images ( File/automate/batch... )

Welcome aboard Frank
I had to do a whole site full of photo's for a client and not wanting anyone to take and use them (disable right click doesn't really work) I had to do 2 things to each photo...... the first was put a soft very faint marking across the photo for those who know how to get around the right click problem and second was to put her signature and site name in the lower corner of each image........ as there was hundreds of photo's I didn't want to this individually so.........

I created and recorded an action that...... first resized each image, placed the marking over the top, put her sig in the corner and then her site name under this. stoped recording and saved it then having all the originals in various folders I told each batch comand where to grab the photo's from and save them to a different folder. Once that was set I ran it and walked away and made coffee while photoshop did all the work....... it was brilliant and took about 5 minutes to do about 400 photo's! now that I like he he he........

of course my hubby ran out to me and said my computer was going nuts and did I know........ yes love I am just making photoshop work me like it is supposed to :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut:
he is now used to seeing my computer doing all sorts of things while I am not there [:I B7

Thanks so much for the help. This is how I was thinking it had to be done as I already have it set up to resize and such, but wasn't sure how to do that. This would just save so much time...500 pics, 8-10 events, that adds up fast.

I am going to play around and see if I can figure it out. You have spelled it out pretty well so hopefully I can figure it out....

Thanks again for the answers and for the quick responses!!!!

frankjp302 ... also in your html code you could put your images in the background and 'place' a tranparent gif over the top ... it's not the total answer but the habitual right clickers get a download which when they check it later is blank [sly] .... the code is ... <td width="143" valign="middle" align="center" height="396" background="images/jcsprogram.gif"><img border="0" src="images/images/0program.gif" width="100" height="100%"> ... substitute your sizes and image file names of course :D

Welcome aboard frankjp302! :) Glad to see that you're getting the answers that you were looking for! :righton: Enjoy the fine company here!

:bustagut: Ian, you devil you! ;) :D

:bustagut: :bustagut: .. I think that makes me a blue devil meanie B7 ... me thinks you folks are getting to know me too well [innocent] :D

Resize

I almost got this to work with the exception of walking away and letting Ps do all the work. Each file opens and then it asks me again if I want to save it as a PSD. I have tried a few different things but just keep missing the detail of the save steps.
