How to add a person to a photo?

I am a new user to photoshop and am using photoshop elements 11.

I have managed to make a selection and extract a person from one photo and add them to another background but they look like they are just stuck on as the colours/tones are so different between the two images. Is there an easy way to match the two together so they look correct colour and tone wise?

Thanks in advance.

easy? Probably not easy if you're just learning. but possible"maybe" depends on all sorts of things. lighting. angles resolution, just to name a few,. A visual would help us direct what to do.

Thanks for the reply,

I have no visual to show, I have just been practising extracting people and objects from random pictures and adding them to other pictures to get the hang of things.
I thought that there may be a tool that would aid in matching the colours/tones etc of one layer to another for this sort of situation.

Thanks for the youtube link, that is exactly what I was looking for!

The "match colour" command looks to be just what I need, not sure if it is available in photoshop elements, will have to take a look next time I have my computer turned on.

Set things up in different layers and masks, adjust as needed using hues, levels. By cutting, feathering and changing blending modes you should be able to get things close, then a opacity tweak, and you should match well IF the images are close.
