Illustrator How precise/clear should scalable vector graphics be in illustrator?

Text and shapes look much better than photoshop, however I still see a slight pixelation/blurriness. Maybe I am expecting too much? or is this normal? I've been through most of the settings that people suggest...make sure this is checked, this if off/on etc.

Does precise graphics only exist when printing? Is it because monitors use pixels?

here is an example, straight lines look perfect, but rounded areas have a slight pixelated look....

text is vector defined drawing, means it is described by mathematical formulas that redraw it any time you scale it up or down.
if you see any pixelization of vector shapes in illustrator it has to be caused by your monitors own resolution.
when you do the prints it has to be perfectly smooth as postscript takes care of vector interpretation on your printer.
if it is too obvious and distracting, you may try updating graphic drivers (set the maximum resolution of the screen) and-or check your illustrator's view settings (coreldraw that i use has got normal, enhanced and wireframe view).
