Hi everyone,

This may look like a simple effect to the pros, but im no sure how to achieve it in PS. Im designing a web page and i like designs with flowing curves ( I think it looks cool & modern looking) but Im not sure how to make these effects in PS. To give you an example of what i like, look at these example of sites (especially the first 2 pages)

How can I make beautiful curves with nice colours like these? If anyone can point me to a tutorial of somesort it would be great.

Thanks

Sup, Rhino1616!
This is indeed a simple and easy effect to accomplish (looks great too). For this you will need the pen tool. Just take the pen tool and mark a few points and connest the last one to fill the shape. After that you can use the convert point tool to touch up the curves. To change the color of the shape just double click on the layer thumbnail and choose your color. You can also apply any gradient via layer styles that you like.
Hope that explanes everything for ya. ;)

That's an interesting drawing strategy, p?tr??k. I wouldn't have thought of just making the points and converting them. Very simple... :righton:

Oh. Which way would you have done it Welles?
You can also just take the pen tool then click and drag to make the curves, but I always end up using the convert tool anyways because they never end up just the way I want them.

Ha! Here's an even simpler way. Make a square and go distort > wave. 8}
