How do I revese a graphic

I have a graphic of a Arabic word (Black letting on White background) I would like to reverse. I need white letting on black or transparent background. Can some one point me to a tutorial to do this or if it's simple tell me.

First you need to change the white background in to black.
Then select the layer of Arabic letting and press CTRL +I.
