Hello,I would like to know how to recreate the black rubber like texture on this car. The texture that goes behind the number and onto the hood is what I am after.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Chandler

Hello ctyson68 and welcome to PSG.

It's hard to tell what your referring to from this tiny image. Can you find another example that shows the texture better?

Don't know what you actually want to do..to actually re-create the tire thread from scratch or just create the effect on the car.
This is the latter. Simply find a tire pattern that you want to use. Load it in PS. Use one of the selection tools to select it then Edit/ Create Pattern. Then use the Pattern Stamp tool (located under the Clone tool) to paint it where you want it. (Not sure I would want it on this beautiful Porche 911 though)

Could I ask you what the usage is going to be? Is it going to actually be applied to a vehicle and if so, by what method? Are you intending to have it printed as a decal, cut vinyl or what? If it's just going on a graphic for online display, that changes the method by which it can be made.

That being said, why not follow what I have already suggested, except make a pattern in PS from the existing pattern on the car. Like this- (a little more care will yield better results)

No it is just for online display. I do recreations of these cars as a hobby.
