Hello everyone,

I am wanting to know how I can merge 2 text images I made to make one image? Whenever I try to drag one of the text images over, it only drags a blur image. Any help?

will need a little more info because it works for me. Maybe post pic of what you are trying to do

OK well I saved both as .jpegs and was able to move the "basswood" image over to the "LANE" image but when I tried to place over the flames, the LANE disappeared.

The black background on one image is probably covering the other image

Is this what you are trying to do? If so you need to create your text image Basswood on a trasperant background.

Good tip Austin I should of thought of that. [confused]

Here is what it looks like using Austin's method

OK I'm having the same problem again. This time I've added to the text and wanted to overlay it on the microphone image but whenever I set the text to SCREEN and move it over the mic, the black background follows and the text is almost transparent. Any suggestions?

Het Tmac good job there bud.
Only thing... when you create picture use 800x600 pixels its the most usefull size on PS or 1024x768. With that size everybody can fit your picture on their monitor without scroling it...
TIP: When i was only starting with PS i have only used 1280x1040, because i liked it. But believe me there is no need for that size atleast you working with digital images or photos. And the size you using 1117x790 is not the right one.

Good Luck :righton:

Thanks for the reply Sergiy!

I saved it at that size because it is the exact size I wanted it to show on the t-shirt I am going to put it on. I apologize for posting it in this large size (laziness I guess).

Any ideas how I can overlap the text image onto the microphone without the background showing up? I've been searching the internet day and night and can't find any tips that cover this. The 'SCREEN' format is not working.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :righton:

Are you wanting something like this?

micresize.jpg

All I did was bring the text to a layer above the mic and set to screen. I'm not really sure what you're looking for if that technique isn't working.

austizmo,

yes! that is exactly what I was trying to achieve. what I was doing wrong was making it a 'SCREEN' before I moved it over.

thank you so much! :righton:
