How do I make my Lips and Skin Look Like this?

Without seeing YOU.I suggest starting with/ Image>Adjustments>Photo Filter>warming filter and go from there

Not sure what you mean by "synthetic"? I have your picture and the other one, She does not synthetic to me

I did this with photo filter, is this what you mean?

as I said ^^^ select your area first then apply warming filter to the degree you want. bingo 2 minute it took me.if even that

looks good, nice job, now you have new filter to learn all about LOL

btw I did the selection as another layer then combined them (much easier if you make a mistake to correct).

Sounds like your on a good path to learn, Lynda.com is a good site, Good luck Man!

Im guessing that was also a smart blur applied?

Open photoshop with the picture you want to edit, make a copy of the layer you want to edit, so you have two of the same image, then go to, Filter > Surface Blur > select the right amount of "Radius" and then "Threshold" to make it look right.

Then Filter > Guaussian Blur, select the right amount of "Radius" again for the picture, and then all you need to do with the layer you have done the blur to is delete the thing's you don't want to keep like the eye's to make the look sharp, and also close and BG, pritty much every thing apart from the skin should be deleted.

That is how I did it there are other way's one like iDad said, is also another way to do it as well.

I purchased a membership to Lynda.com and have been working through as many tutorials as possible.

Finally someone who is wise enough to take a course to understand ALL the basics first, I wish more pople would be that smart... would save us a lot of "But I don't know how to use a mask (or pen tool)!" or similar replies on forums like this...sigh

Isn't that why this forum is here, to help out new and also old photoshopers?.

Also looking in to the cost of it, buying Photoshop CS4 Extended will cost about $900+ or £500+ and then adding the cost of a subscription so you can learn how to use it, could be out of some peoples range.

Even just buying Photoshop Eliments can cost $99 or £70, and adding the cost of a learing site may again be out of peoples range.

I have both CS4 Extended and Eliments 7, I only paid £250 for both as it's the Student Ed, but it's still alot of money.

I am happy that there are people out there that are willing to help for free, I have done it and still do, I have done freelance work for free on this site, as I am giving back what other people have given to me (that's a qick thatnk's to iDad ;)).

I feel the problem isn't that people are asking how to do thing's, but asking the same questions that have been asked before, but some times they can't find it or be bothered to look for it in a forum.
