Hey guys,

I'm trying to make a sharp claw, like a tigers claw, with Photoshop. I can't get it at all. I've come close, but nothing useable. I'm assuming I have to use the Pen Tool, which I also don't understand how to fully use. I'm trying to basically put these claws, "in" the claw gauges I have made, thanks to the tutorial on this site!

Can anyone help me out?

Thank you!

Thank you!

The claws will be coming from the INSIDE to the OUTSIDE. As if the tiger was behind the wallpaper.

Thank you.

That would indeed be the best approach here, yes.

Create the claw shapes and fill them with any solid colour -- like an off-white. Then i'd suggest you simply paint the shading/highlights over the solid colour. This is the kind of image that will not lend itself easily to the application of any filters. So manual labour is the only real recorse. :righton:

Give it a try and if you have any problems, post your results and we can sort through it.

Here's a link to some info on using the Pen Tools: http://www.photoshopgurus.info/beginners/learning_fundamentals/selection-tools6.shtml
