How do I make a circel with 40pieces that are the same size?

Hello people!

This is my first post at this forum, so I hope that I've posted this thread in the right topic :)

My question is. how do I make a circel with 40pieces that is exactly the same size?

A whoel cirkel.

A whole cirkel which is being split up by some lines.

See example below:

Now I found another example on a page..

is should be something like this, but just tje line from centrum and out to the circle ring. then I could always find out what else to do.. :)

I'm just wondering if there was a smart way to make the pieces exactly the same size

hmm.. i can't post that either :S

you could use a gradient overlay every 2.5(40/100) percent change the color to either white or change the opacity
 
Can't message you.. it says that you can't recieve PM's

but I think that I know how to do know.. I've found a tutuorial in how to make a starburst, so I could make that and then put in a circle.. I think that would do the job :) I'll try it right away..

Well I found out that it couldn't be done like that since I don't know how to make them the same size to begin with..
 
Finally and Example!

The main problem is that I want a circel like the example below:

wheel_jpg.jpg


where there is 40 pieces in the exactly same size..
 
HEY i did it lol ok use custom shapes Make a circle
make 8 lines (+x) make sure they're inside the circle or whatever color the lines are make the background the same color
Dupe Layer + Rotate 9 degrees x5 times

No worries, Just some simple math lol I knew it had a real purpose other then math class
