How do I make a brush stroke to look like this?

I've attached an image of something that I'd like to mimic and be able to use for a site. I know enough about Photoshop to use brushes, but I'm not talented enough to know how to make something like this.

Can you help?

It's the type of brush they used.. You could also achieve this using a Style with a pattern...

that is a very small section to say what it is.... I see a possible motion blur to a bluish gradient could be a number of way to get that effect

I doubt very much that was done with a brush. I just did this using a gradient, its similar.

Interesting, ive never seen a gradient go sideways unless it was angled...

My response was to the question, if a pattern was used. Obviously the gradient was done on an angle.

What about doing the gradient horisontally and then applying some very creative Edit -> Transform -> Warp to the layer?
