How do they fade the edges of the mic picture on there home page?? I am sure its not to hard!

1. Open up the image in Photoshop (I dragged it into another document, so I have more free space).


2. Grab Rectangular Marquee Tool and change the Feather value to about 20px.


3. Make a selection like this:


and press delete a few times to get an effect like this:


You can also do the same for the top:
