How do I bend a part of an image with EXACT specifics

Hi!
I've run into a problem with trying to bend an object with photoshop. Now the issue here is that I'm making texture tiles so things need to be exactly in the right spots. Let me illustrate:

bend.png

What I'm trying to do here is create a curved track. The background is for 2x2 tiles of 128 px by 128 px tiles. Now what I need to do is bend the track on the upper left tile so it starts exactly where its starting now on the lower part of the tile but it should connect with the track on the right side tile. The orange circle there is just a guideline on how the track should bend (doesnt need to be EXACTLY that but it has to be round so it looks "natural"). Now I've been trying for the last 6 hours to do with freehand tools and it's simply not working out in any way (maybe I just lack the artistic talent or the steady hand?).

I found all kinds of tutorials but none of them had any specifics on how to do this properly and the things I tried ended up having the centerline in the track still pointing upwards instead of to the right like it should.

Is there a way I could easily bend the rail following the circle? I need to bend the other track later too with a wider circle of course and make railway switches and such so I need to make all kinds of different bends later also with different kinds of tracks. And please I need quite specific instructions since I'm very new to graphic editing and don't even know many of the basics.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me with this!

Transform tools like warp will create a muddy mess. I suggest you recreate the track using a pen tool and fill it in appropriately. Do you know how to use a pen tool?

You don't need me to tell you that you can't run before you learn to walk. You need the basics. At some point, lol.

Thank you for your reply!
And yes the transform tools have been producing a muddy mess. And no I'm not familiar with using the pen tool. Is there a workflow you could generally describe on what I need to learn about using the pen tool to create what I am after? One of the big problems that I faced trying to find tutorials or tips from google was that I obviously wasn't using the correct search terms to find what I was looking for.

I'm already looking at some tutorials about the pen tool basics as I'm writing this but if you can even "nudge me in the right direction" so I would know what to look for. I really don't wish anyone else to do this for me since I have to create a dozen different kind of shapes with it so I definitely would like to learn to make it myself.

Everything is photoshop CS5.1 but like I said in my previous post if you have a certain workflow for such a task let me know and I will learn how to do it.

I couldn't make the line smooth enough with the pen tool -- when I filled it, it was very pixelated -- I think that is because it is bending. I think you will have to use a higher resolution in order to make this work.

There was good reason ibclare asked you if this was made in illustrator, cause
textures in general should be made with vector drawing programs due to the
tiling, shaping, warping and other requests design may require latter on...
my advice would be to get someone to completely reproduce your design
into vector shape of desired characteristics, even better if you may learn
some of the vector drawing programs to do it yourself for it may be more useful
than photoshop skills if you will have more similar projects to do.
