How do I alter text so that the bottom edge is curved?

I would like to ask how to achieve the text effect of the bottom edge being "deflated" like the image I have attached.

Thank you in advance for your help. I am new to the forum and this is my first post.

Hello, Mike.

One way to do this is with the Warp tool ... rasterize the text layer first.....

CurvedText.jpg

And click/drag the lower handle/grid lines at the center position (as indicated with red x) upward. To balance the inside of text you have to move the inside grids as well.

You'll notice there are handles extruding from the lower grid corners. To balance out the arc, click the end of one and move to balance it with the other.

Thanks for the advice. I rasterized the text, then clicked on EDIT > TRANSFORM > WARP and ended up with the image shown below. I don't see a red X. What am I missing?

I'm on CS4 but I suppose the controls are the same with your version.... unless I'm wrong and someone can correct me on this.

I added the red X in my first image to point out were to click and drag.

There are also word art options for text which you can customize. It's the T with the arch under it. It might work if you have problems with the warp tool, though that works for all kind of distortions!
