This is an image i created , can anyone help me on how do i create sprinkles or sparkles for this perticular image ?
One way is the gradient tool . but something else , preferable , the sparkles effect should be on another layer so that it does not affect the original image . will be grateful for your help .

Thank you .

Gautam .

If you made this image, then I don't believe your asking how to make sprinkles, you should already know this, there are already sprinkles on it.

I'll take that as a compliment , but i really did't add any sprinkles and except for the gradient tool (diamond shaped one) , i don't know another way of doning it , so can you give me a vague example of how to do it , you don't need to elaborate .

I mean something like twinkles , that lights up in the background :)

Thank u .

When you say created I take it you took pictures and arranged then rather than draw/paint them from the beginning.

I take it it's a star effect your after using the diamond gradient tool.

You can make a brush in Photoshop to do this.. use the pen tool and the brush pre sets , use a solid hard brush and set the pre sets on the shape dynamics to taper off at the ends. use black as the colour, make a new document around 2000 px sq, this will give you a good size brush when finished. You can make your canvas whatever size you want.

Hold down the shift key and draw a horizontal line using the pen tool in the middle of the canvas, then stoke it using the brush pre-set you made. if its slightly thick you can use the free transform tool to thin it and also drag it out length ways, duplicate the layer however many times you wish and rotate them till you get your star shape. If you wanted to you could always add 1 x single round shape in the middle of the star , once your happy with the thickness of the lines and the star you can then save it out to Photoshop as a brush.

Once you have made the brush you can use whatever colour you like to make the stars.

There are other ways to make the brush but I thought this would be the most easy way for you to try and make one.

Unless what you needed was something like a Bokeh Effect on the background.....

Make a search Bokeh Effect and choose an image of your liking.

Drag it into your work canvas and experiment with the layer modes and adjustments to get an effect you like.

Bokeh-ish.jpg

My above image looks weird.... But that's because I applied the bokeh on the entire image you supplied. You should position the bokeh image layer above the background layer to apply the effect and not above every layer/object on the entire image like what I did...... Unless what you have looks good on some of the objects in the image.

I had seen that trick in a youtube vedio , thanks though , and yeah with this the image looks a bit more awesome . Thanks
