How did I create these wet paint border edges?

I created this "sloppy wet edged borders on a few of my images years ago when I was first playing with photoshop...now I have no memory of how it did it?...I've tried everything...I remain a photoshop dummy....it must have been easy or I wouldn't have been able to do it... I tried to post the image here...but seems I can't ..if anyone needs for me to email a sample photo w/the border I'm describing...please ask...?...I just want to paint borders on my photos just like this!! ...they almost look like an emulsion applied (like platinum) or some such process....thanks..
