How can I make a yellow smoking hand?

Ive taken a picture of a hand, and I want to make it really yellow from all the ciggarettes. Is there any such effect in photoshop?

1. make selection of the hand
2. make a new layer and color it with yellow color
3. change the normal layer into color layer

the whole hand will be change to yellow color
