I was wondering how to make a low poly background such as these. I haven't been able to find out how to do it anywhere online, so I thought that I would ask the gurus. Also, can you do this with photoshop alone, or are there any other programs I would need? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Photoshop is capable of polygon graphics, but there are other programs that would work much better, Illustrator being one of them.
If your limited to Ps, then use the Pen Tool and the command/control key to make and manipulate polygons on new layers for each.
There is also a Polygon Tool in the shape tools, set the number of sides to 3. The Pen Tool is much easier.
The challenge is the color, tonal gradation, and shading.
