They are paintings mate, you could redo in Photoshop with brush tools are you good at drawing, if not you could always make a new blank layer over the image you like reduce opacity and copy using your brushes and colours to match:thumbsup:

A lot of people favor Corel Painter over PS for this sort of work. Images very similar to your examples appear in Jeremy Sutton's excellent books on learning to use Painter. For example, look at the cover of this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Painter-11-Creativity-Digital-Handbook/dp/0240812557

He does a very good job of explaining how to achieve results like this, how to select the appropriate brushes (eg, "Real Bristle" / "Impasto" types).

Also, FWIW, this look is hardly unique (McDonalds had art like this hanging in their fast food restaurants at least 5-10 years ago), and is not considered "an effect", i.e. you don't get this with the push of a button.

Yup, definitely Sutton-esque. Here are some of the first hits you get if do a Google Images search on Jeremy Sutton:

Also, while these look very similar to Jeremy Sutton's work, the three examples you posted apparently are all acrylics on canvas by Olga Rykova:

http://finemodernart.com/featured/party-vibe

http://olgarykova.com/fine-art/sunlight

Since she states that she also does digital work, and this style is so close to Sutton's tutorials and art using Corel Painter, my guess is that she first does a preliminary version in Painter, and then overpaints / refines it with acrylics.

Hello and welcome.

My biggest question is can you paint with real paints on canvas? If not, you will not be able to paint in Photoshop either. While Ps does make some of the painting processes easier, you will still need the underlying talent and painting knowledge to create abstract work like this.

Something close to this?
Have a look at the master of this style: Françoise Nielly, www.francoise-nielly.com

I'm sorry, Mr. LeCaire, but, IMHO, the style you illustrated doesn't look anything like the style requested by the OP. While both are painterly styles and yours would be very nice for some applications / artists, they very, very different.

Perhaps you only looked at the OP's examples on a cell phone or some small screen device.
