Hi, how can I achieve the look on the 1st image? I'm want to apply that effect on the second image.

The colors are darker in the first image. It's that effect that I'm looking for but can't figure out how to achieve it.

You can desaturate the image a bit and darken it by using a hue/saturation adjustment layer and then, using the mask that comes with the adjustment layer brush away the white parts with a soft brush to make them crisp white again...

I liked Lamberts (Eggy) version so I used his technique but I added a curves adjustment layer to intensify the blacks.

Hi guys. Thank you so much for your replies. I tried your ideas of using adjustment layers and I think it looks good so far.
