Now it's showing up with a blue background after I hosted it .. I don't know what to do.

I just want to know how to change the color of my emblem. I've tried replace color, fill, change hue .. it just stays black no matter what I do.

I'm sure it's something very simple; i'm just very new to PS and am in need of your help.

Thanks!

Jake

This image I am able to adjust the color but the lion is made up of like 30 different shades. I messed around and eventually, through playing with contrast and other things i forget, got that black emblem to come out appearing to be one shade. It must be wrong though. How would I go about making this blue emblem one solid color, and still retaining the ability to adjust the color? hostthisforexample.jpg

you could add a color overlay to it as a second layer or as many layers as you want >remove layer from background> Layer>Layer Style>Color overlay
that's one way

That image is weird. I downloaded it and the thumbnail in my download folder has a white background but when opened turns blue. I think you better try re-saving it again. I did that and the thumbnail was normal.

What I did was to make a layer of the image, select the blue background and deleted it. I then CTRL+click image layer to select all the pixels in the layer, and filled with black. The background layer I filled White. So now you have a layered file with an image layer you can change color.

Now I don't know how your file is like - whether the image is sharp (unlike your original upload which is rough coz it's at 72ppi... But I think you can do what I outlined just now. I had to replace the text of your first image with that of the second to have a sharper text..

Hope it helps. Here's my sample......

was that the color you wanted. I did this one in about 10 minutes.
