Just joined. I wear a few hats in the industry, I'm a paralegal, a published author, and a professional book cover artist. I work firstly with Corel Photoshop, a little of Adobe Photoshop CS, and Serif PagePlus X4. I've recently been commissioned by a heavy metal band to do their CD cover (which is a first for me). I had researched dimensions and it brought me to this site, which I thought would be great to join.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. Expertise...I dunno about that. *blushes* I was looking at the talent in here. Wow! I do photo-manipulation, and after seven years, I'm still learning.

The cool thing about photo-manipulators is that they are constantly learning off one another. Its one of the ways I was taught. For 12 years no-one actually sat down and instructed me, I learned off tutorials. You open the program, you follow the instructions and pick up the skills on the way. Its one of the only feilds in the world that you can do that and compare works to see how well you did.

I learned a neat little trick the other day that ended up cutting almost thirty minutes off every edit I do. Couldn't believe I had missed it for all those years. As skills with photoshop evolve, I am completely positive that I will learn something every day I use it. Including a few things from you.

PS... I still rarely use the pen tool, because I am rubbish with it. ;-)
