Hi I'm a newbie in Need of a little help.

Hi I was wondering if anyone out there can please help me, I'm fairly new to photoshop, and just joined the website, I just got the CC version, this morning and like a kid with a new toy I have been experimenting with colour popping and successfully managed it, that is until I come to save it.

I have gone the usual route of Save As but I can only open the photo in Photoshop and will not allow me to save as normal or upload on to any other sites. All the photo shows as is a blue icon saying PSD and PS.


This is probably basic stuff and I know it will be something simple, pleae can someone advise me.

Hi LL and welcome to PSG.

When you have clicked on "Save As", click the drop down menu under format....



Then select the format in which you like to save the file....

Are you using Windows or a Mac? Sam has shown you a Mac interface. Principle is the same, but will look different is all I am saying.

Hi thank you everyone for their help. As soon as I saw IamSam and the method he used it all came flooding back. I can now successfully Colour Pop.
