Hi all,

First of all nice to be in this forum. 8}

I'm pretty new with photoshop altough i allready did lots of random tutorials to learn the different tools and techniques.

Recently i bought a new tft-screen, but now when i want to edit a graphic in imageready the colors vary from that in photoshop.

I recall a message showing up in photoshop due to this new monitor but i don,t now how to calibrate this .

Can anyone help me out on this one ??

Thanks !

Stan

Hi Stan and welcome to the forums. There is one preliminary question you have to answer. Mac or PC? Then I wonder if you might be working in a different color palette, like indexed color? What type of image are you working on and what are you trying to accomplish in IR? \:]

Hi Welles,

Thanks for your kind reply.

I'm working on a pc.
And indeed the colorpalette was the problem.
I checked the color settings.
Grey and spot were set to dot grain 15 % and then i changed them to custom dot gain. After i changed them my colors looked like before [oops] .

I'm trying to make a little animated gif so i can have my own avatar in this forum.
But i,m new with IR and last night i wasn't able to export or save my animated gif...(it was not animated as i opened it )
I'm glad this afternoon i'm of work so i can practice how to do this.( i hope)

Thanks again ur tip did the trick.

Stan

Well, I lucked out with some speculative advice on your first question, Stan. ;)

If you do have any difficulty with the animation of a GIF in ImageReady, give a holler. If everything is set up properly in the animation palette including delay (the numeric figure in hundredths of seconds at the bottom of each frame, i.e. 0.20 ) and disposal (which should be set to Automatic usually...right click on a frame), make sure of your settings in the Optimize palette before you try to Save Optimized...

Ahhhh,

Finally.

The only thing that went wrong was the default program to open gifs (iinstalled nero this weekend).
Thats why i could not view the animations.

Welles i really like your little animated tribal and thanks to take the effort of reading my "colemine"english.
